WRANGLER
The new edition of the Jeep Wrangler is powered by a standard 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine with 285 horsepower and your choice of a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic. The Wrangler also offers Troy MI buyers an available turbocharged four-cylinder that can be matched up with an electric motor for extra low-end power. The Wrangler can come with a 3.0-liter diesel V6 as well as a capable 6.4-liter V8 engine. The new Jeep Wrangler has a maximum driving range of 516 miles on Warren MI highways with a full tank of gas.
The new Jeep Wrangler with the class-exclusive 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 can give Macomb MI drivers a muscular 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.

WRANGLER 4xe
The Jeep Wrangler 4xe operates with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The Wrangler 4xe battery requires recharging that can take about 2.4 hours with a 220-volt charger. The new Wrangler 4xe has a limited electric-only driving range of around 21 miles but thanks to the 2.0-liter gasoline engine, you can drive up to 370 miles on a full tank. As a result, the new gas-powered Jeep Wrangler gives you about about 130 more miles of driving range than the 4xe plug-in but the hybrid gets better fuel economy.
With the plug-in hybrid Jeep Wrangler 4xe the numbers are 375 horsepower and an identical 470 pound-feet of torque.

Comparing Fuel Economy
The gas-driven Jeep Wrangler with the V6 gets an EPA rating of 23 MPG on the highway. The turbocharged four-cylinder does quite a bit better, delivering up to 26 highway MPG according to Car and Driver. The Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid offers the equivalent of 49 MPG combined city/highway driving. You should plan on taking about 12 hours to fully charge the battery in Jeep Wrangler 4xe with a standard household-style 120-volt outlet.
Comparing Interiors
The new Jeep Wrangler and the Wrangler 4xe share many of the same appealing interior features. In each model you'll get a comfortable cabin that offers available heated front seats as well as a heated steering wheel. The Jeep Wrangler 4xe is available only as a four-door SUV while the gas-powered Wrangler gives you the choice of a two-door and a four-door body style. The gas-driven Jeep Wrangler provides you with more room for cargo with 72.4 cubic feet of storage space vs. the Jeep Wrangler 4xe with 67.4 cubic feet of storage.

Comparing Technology and Safety
The Jeep Wrangler gives Shelby Township, MI buyers a standard Uconnect® 5 infotainment system with a 12.3-inch display and the Wrangler 4xe has a standard screen that's the same size. Both Jeep off-road SUVs offer available Off-Road Pages at higher trim levels so you can get real-time information on pitch and roll along with drivetrain settings.
The Jeep Wrangler 4xe has more standard features than you'll find in the Jeep Wrangler. That includes structural improvements for side-impact performance and side curtain airbags for both rows of seats. Both Jeep Wrangler models come with standard forward collision warning and a backup camera.
